The future of Mermaid Lake

On April 12, Whitpain Township hosted the second in a series of four public meetings to discuss master planning for the Mermaid Lake property.

A team of consultants headed by Simone Collins Landscape Architecture presented three draft concepts for the property. They ranged from the most passive uses to the most active.

Although three concepts were presented, it is expected that the final recommendation will contain various elements from each.

If you are interested in the future of this property, please watch the recorded meeting if you have not already done so. The ideas were very interesting. It is available on the Township website:

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... Whitpain Township is asking for residents to voice their opinions through an online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MermaidLakeFeedback

For any residents that would prefer to complete a paper copy of the survey, please stop by the Township building or just call 610-277-2400 to have one mailed to you.

THE SURVEY IS ONLY OPEN UNTIL MAY 19.

So please share with your neighbors immediately. And if you know folks that are not online, please tell them about the paper survey option. This is our ability to influence the future of this important property.
